The Blood Donor Center, located on the first floor of CHI St. Luke's Health–Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center.  Valet parking or parking at any Texas Medical Center parking garage is available.

Eligibility
To be eligible to donate blood you must:

  • be 17 years old minimum, (there is no upper age limit);   
  • weigh at least 110 pounds; and
  • be in general good health.

CHI St. Luke’s Health Blood Center Management and Conservation Program uses proven, state-of-the-art techniques and specialized equipment to reduce or eliminate the need for blood transfusion. The reduction of blood transfusions, which can be life-saving and will be used when necessary with a patient’s consent, reduces exposure to potential risks. Research has shown that blood conservation is a more safe and cost-effective approach to patient care.

Accreditation
