Triten Corporation Recognized for its Commitment to the Community by Association of Fundraising Professionals

Triten Corporation, a provider to the energy industry, received the prestigious Outstanding Small Corporation Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals–Greater Houston Chapter at the Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards luncheon on November 2.

Nominated by St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System (System), Triten was recognized for its continued commitment to the community by providing generous support to numerous Houston-area non-profit organizations.

Triten’s Chairman of the Board, President and CEO, John Scott (Scotty) Arnoldy, has served on St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital’s Board of Directors since 2008 and the System’s Board since 2009. He was appointed chair of the St. Luke’s Board in 2010, chair of the System Development Committee and a member of the System Executive Committee.

“Scotty Arnoldy’s unwavering commitment to serve the Houston community has positively touched the lives of thousands of Houstonians,” says David J. Fine, president and CEO, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System.

In addition to St. Luke’s, Triten’s generosity reaches a broad range within the Houston community. It reaches out to organizations such as Krist Samaritan Center, the American Heart Association, United Way of Greater Houston, Houston Grand Opera, YMCA of Greater Houston and Boys and Girls Country of Houston—all of whom wrote letters of support for the nomination.

Philanthropy runs in the Arnoldy family. Roman Arnoldy, who founded Triten Corporation as Texas Alloy Products Company in 1946, believed in serving and giving back. When his son, Scotty, succeeded him at the helm of Triten, the philanthropic endeavors continued.

“Philanthropy is part of the Arnoldy family tradition, and it feels great to be able to give back to the community where we live and do business,” says Arnoldy. “I am honored to receive this award on behalf of Triten Corporation.”
