Nitin A. Kapur, MD, MPH Joins St. Luke’s Medical Clinic

St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital (SLEH) announces that internal medicine physician Nitin A. Kapur, MD, MPH, has joined the staff at St. Luke’s Medical Clinic. Dr. Kapur previously worked as a hospital-based physician SLEH in the Texas Medical Center. He will transition from treating acutely ill patients to focusing on providing preventative and long-term care for patients.

The native Texan earned an undergraduate degree from Rice University and continued his education at The University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. In medical school, he received an applied epidemiology fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He completed his internal-medicine residency with a primary care focus at Yale University School of Medicine. Also, Dr. Kapur has a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Kapur writes non-fiction essays based on encounters with patients, which have been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association and the Journal of General Internal Medicine.
