St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Home of Texas Heart® Institute, Gets New Look at Heart Imaging With Perkins Healthcare Integrated Video Imaging System

St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital (St. Luke’s), home of the Texas Heart® Institute (THI), has selected Perkins Healthcare Technologies to provide video integration on its new Bi Plane GE Cardiac Catheterization lab. The system offers a fully integrated solution, providing staff the ability to effectively and efficiently use all the tools available during cardiac procedures.

St. Luke’s and THI are world-renowned for their cardiovascular program and recognized as leaders in cardiology and heart surgery offering some of the most advanced treatments. Through use of the Perkins video integration system, St. Luke’s clinical staff will be able to view high-definition clinical procedure video information in multiple locations within the suite as collaged layouts on a 56-inch, 8-megapixel display. This information can be recorded and reviewed post-procedure. Use of the integrated video system increases workflow efficiency and enhances decision-making during procedures.

“Our video integration system provides St. Luke’s a flexible solution to meet its needs,” said Steve Plaugher, general manager, Perkins Healthcare Technologies. “Instead assimilating patient data from multiple sources and locations, staff members can now access and instantly view information in their respective work area.”

Perkins Healthcare Technologies has provided video processing and management solutions for clinical video integration applications for more than 25 years. As a medical video product developer and manufacturer, Perkins Healthcare Technologies offers video configuration and interfacing flexibility to accommodate any new or existing video integration application across all modalities and systems, solving visualization needs and enhancing workflow.
