Nursing Research Annual Conference

St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital would like you to join us on October 25, 2012 from 7:30a.m. - 4p.m. at The Denton A. Cooley Auditorium for the Nursing Research Annual Conference.

Up to 7.0 nursing education hours will be awarded for successful completion of this activity. To receive contact hours, you are required to record attendance on the Certificate of Successful Completion and complete the evaluatin form for each session attended.

Keynote speaker will be Cheryl Tatano Beck, DNSc, CNM, FAAN, Researcher and Author.

Dr. Beck earned a Doctor of Nursing Science degree from Boston University and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. Currently, she serves on the editorial board of Advances in Nursing Research, Journal of Nursing Education and Journal of Nursing Measurement. She is the recepient of numerous awards, such as the Eastern Nursing Research Society's Distinguished Researcher Award, the Distinguished Alumna Award from Yale University and the Connecticut Nurses' Association's Diamond Jubilee Award for her contribution to nursing research.

A prolific writer, who has published more than 125 journal articles, Dr. Beck has co-authored two books: Nursing Research: Generating and Assessing Evidence for Nursing Practice with Denis Polit, MD, and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders: A Clinician's Guide, with Jeanne Driscoll, MD. Both books received the American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award in 2011 and 2006, respectively.
