Free Lunch & Learn Seminar: “Atrial Fibrillation: Guidance in Educating Patients to Prevent Stroke”

WHAT:       Free Lunch & Learn Seminar: “Atrial Fibrillation: Guidance in Educating Patients to Prevent Stroke”
Presented by CHI St. Luke’s Health - Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center

WHEN:       Friday, May 9, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

WHERE:     CHI St. Luke’s Health - Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center
Room C074

WHY:
Patients receiving an atrial fibrillation (AFib) diagnosis are often overwhelmed by the condition and how it will impact them and their families. Many patients come away from the diagnosis appointment unaware of the five-time greater risk of stroke as a result of having AFib. To help patients better understand the association between AFib and high stroke risk, the National Stroke Association in association with CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is presenting this lunch and learn seminar.

WHO:         Jose Suarez, MD, Head, Vascular Neurology and Neurocritical Care,
Baylor College of Medicine
